Environment!

It matters!

During the first quarter of 2023, I commissioned a task force within my business to develop our road map to becoming a carbon Net Zero business.

This is a root and branch revaluation of what we do, from our tech stack, through to our banking, suppliers and even our own lifestyle habits, then in turn, translate this back to value for our clients.

We are working hard to develop our Corporate Social Responsibilities policies and share our ethical and environmental goals.

We are currently developing an exciting new micro-site to serve as a vehicle for communicating to clients and partners our aims and objectives.

At the same time, we are using the new micro-site as a technology benchmark, with regards to making the site site as energy efficient as possible, and to prove our Microsoft Technology Stack meets these goals.

We are learning new things every day, and it feels good to know that we are taking climate change seriously and are fully committed to making a difference.

Part of this fundamental change has been to join Tech Zero. Tech Zero is a group for tech companies committed to climate action.

By joining Tech Zero we have committed to measuring our scope 1-3 emissions and set an ambitious net zero target within a year of joining.

We have also committed to:

- Annually measuring and publishing all scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions.

- Publish more details about how we plan to reach net zero within a year of joining Tech Zero, including setting a net zero target date, and short-term targets for the next 12 months, 2-3 years, and by 2030.

- Our business plans should aim to halve emissions by 2030 across all scopes.

I have been appoint as the member of the executive team to be responsible and accountable for their net zero target.

We have also committed to:

- Communicating our climate commitments in other meaningful ways, including to customers and partners.

- We will report progress on short and medium term targets on our new micro-site.

Its exciting, motivational, challenging but undoubtedly, it really does maters.

If you would like to learn more about how you can make a start on this no-opt-out journey please do reach out to me, I would be delighted to share with you our experience and knowledge gained so far.

Thank you.
