Jigsaw Business Solutions (now part of Tillo) helps retailers launch and grow successful gift card programmes. Since 2013, they’ve supported more than 20 major brands across customer acquisition, retention, and employee rewards. In 2017, we partnered with Jigsaw to define their strategy and build the technology behind their expansion, enabling over 15 million gift card purchases across their platform ecosystem in the last five years.
Solving the First Challenge: B2B Automation
Our initial focus was automating sales reporting across Jigsaw’s partner network, removing manual processes that were slowing growth. As we delivered this, it became clear that broader operational efficiencies and new revenue opportunities could be unlocked through a more integrated platform approach. We built automated reporting systems, B2B reseller tools with API driven distribution, centralised ordering for gift card management, multi format and multi processor support, and a dedicated integration layer connecting several gift card processors. This infrastructure became the backbone that allowed Jigsaw to scale B2B operations while reducing operational overhead.
Launching Ecommerce at Scale: The Nike Project
In 2018, Jigsaw won a flagship project with Nike to launch a B2C gift card platform. We designed, built, and deployed the entire ecommerce system in under two months, just in time for the peak holiday season. The platform delivered multi region capability across 10+ European markets, high volume scalability, seamless integration with Nike’s global systems, and secure payment and fulfilment workflows. It remains a core component of Nike’s global gift card strategy. Building on its success, we’ve since delivered similar high performance ecommerce platforms for Costa Coffee, ASOS, boohoo, Hotels.com, and other major brands.
Building the Backbone: A Unified Technology Platform
Beyond individual launches, we helped Jigsaw create a unified technology platform powering their full gift card ecosystem for both B2B resellers and B2C customers. This includes extensive API services for partner integrations, billing automation, PowerBI driven reporting, Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure, disaster recovery capabilities, and ongoing architectural governance. Through continuous support, consultancy, and engineering leadership, we’ve become a trusted strategic partner ensuring Jigsaw’s platform remains robust, scalable, and commercially effective.
